Basketball Recap: Arcadia Triumphs

Arcadia won the last time they faced Elsinore, and Shirley Freeman did her part to make sure it happened again. The Arcadia Apaches walked away with a 51-39 victory over the Elsinore Tigers on Friday thanks in part to Freeman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. Freeman is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Catelyn Chen was another key player, putting up six points and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Arcadia now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Elsinore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Arcadia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-40 win against Maranatha on the 11th. As for Elsinore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-39 defeat against Chaparral on the 10th.
