Soccer Game Preview: Galt vs. Argonaut

The Galt Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Argonaut Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Galt is headed into the game having not lost since December 5 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Amador an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday. It was an even better day for Bayley Miller as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Argonaut, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They came out on top against Bradshaw Christian by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the The Pride are ranked 794th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Argonaut's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Galt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.
