Baseball Game Preview: Chadwick Dolphins vs. Marshall Eagles

The Chadwick Dolphins will square off against the Marshall Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chadwick is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Vasquez by a score of 6-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dolphins.

Santa Rosa Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Marshall proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Rangers.

David Ouch made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Marshall's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 7-14 when he doesn't).

Ouch wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Mullins, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Chadwick's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.
