Football Recap: Richwood Takes a Loss

Richwood fell victim to Montcalm and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 28-0 defeat at the hands of the Generals. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Lumberjacks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Richwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Montcalm, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richwood will take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richwood will be up against Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.56 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Montcalm, they will square off against Bland County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
