Jadon Rodriguez of Barbers Hill is the Texas High School Football Player of the Week

Junior running back topped the 200-yard mark in win.

After receiving more than 20,000 votes, Jadon Rodriguez of Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu) has earned MaxPreps Texas High School Football Player of the Week honors.

Rodriguez ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries in a 52-23 win over Port Arthur Memorial. For the season, the junior running back has 841 yards and 12 TDs on the ground.

Here are the rest of this week's candidates:

* Kyle Crawford, Forney: Completed 12 of 19 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-7 win over McKinney North.



* Marcos Davila, Midland Legacy (Midland): Senior signal caller completed 21 of 32 passes for 392 yards and three touchdowns while also running for a score in a 49-31 win over Midland.

* J.J. Garner, Timpson: Junior running back carried eight times for 269 yards and five touchdowns in a 61-0 win over Shelbyville.

* Logan Jenkins, Collinsville: Senior completed 30 of 51 passes for 349 yards and six touchdowns while also carrying 15 times for 169 yards and another score in a 51-27 win over Muenster.

* Javari Johnson, Texas (Texarkana): Junior running back ran for 145 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 45-21 win over Whitehouse.

* D.J. Lagway, Willis: Future Florida Gator threw for 383 yards and four touchdowns while running for 220 and another score in a 60-52 win over The Woodlands.

* Aydan Martinez-Brown, College Station: Junior ran 21 times for 243 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-42 win over A&M Consolidated.

* Brayden Shipman, Jim Ned (Tuscola): Carried 35 times for 241 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 36-32 win over Vernon.



* Daylon Singleton, DeSoto: Junior wide receiver caught six passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-35 win over Duncanville.

* Kelvin Washington, Longview: Junior caught five passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns while also running for 63 yards and another score on 11 carries in a 34-12 win over Tyler.
