Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Livermore). They snuck past the Arroyo Dons with a 51-47 victory on Monday. This was payback for the Cowboys, who suffered a 39-35 loss the last time these two teams met.

Livermore found their leader in sophomore Sofia Mahmood, who posted 27 points. The dominant performance gave Mahmood a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Bhatia, who earned 15 points.

Livermore is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Arroyo, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Livermore and Arroyo could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Livermore (ranked 800th) will meet Dublin (ranked 85th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Arroyo (ranked 731st) will meet Archie Williams (ranked 362nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
