Recap: Jim Ned Indians vs. Breckenridge Buckaroos

There's no place like home for The Jim Ned Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They breezed by Breckenridge at home to the tune of 42-14. The result was nothing new for Jim Ned, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Jim Ned got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dean Guffey out in front who threw for 109 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Brayden Shipman was another key contributor, rushing for 208 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

Although Breckenridge took the loss, they still got scores from Braye Cantrell and Jaime Cruz.

Jim Ned's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Breckenridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Jim Ned will head out on the road to face off against Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vernon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 168 points over their last four contests. As for Breckenridge, they will be playing at home against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
