Football Recap: Topeka Takes a Loss

Topeka lost against Washburn Rural back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans had to suffer through a 35-6 loss at the hands of the Blues. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Blues are ranked 14th).

Topeka is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Washburn Rural, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Topeka is set to challenge their familiar foe Junction City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Washburn Rural will square off against rival Emporia on Friday.
