Basketball Recap: Freedom's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Freedom came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Manteca Buffaloes by a score of 51-39. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Manteca lost, don't look at Michailla Springs. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Freedom's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Manteca, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Freedom will take on Arcata in a tournament on Friday. Arcata is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season. As for Manteca, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pacheco at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Pacheco will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Manteca surely won't give up without a fight.
