Football Game Preview: Katy Taylor Mustangs vs. Paetow Panthers + How To Watch

Katy Taylor is 0-3 against Paetow since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will welcome the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, Katy Taylor had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of Jordan. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Warriors are ranked 214th).

The losing side was boosted by Derek Story, who rushed for 65 yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.

Meanwhile, Paetow suffered their biggest loss since November 7, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 55-21 defeat at the hands of Katy. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Katy Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Paetow, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Katy Taylor might still be hurting after the 41-21 loss they got from Paetow in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Jackson Farrar (who threw for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
