Baseball Game Preview: Piedmont Academy Cougars vs. Ola Mustangs

The Piedmont Academy Cougars will head out to face off against the Ola Mustangs at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Piedmont Academy gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Central Georgia Arts by a score of 8-5. The Cougars haven't had any issues with Central Georgia Arts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Piedmont Academy got a massive performance out of Zach Simmons, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Chase Taylor was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Piedmont Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Georgia Arts only posted a batting average of .355.

Meanwhile, Ola had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Piedmont Academy's record is now 2-0. As for Ola, their record now sits at 6-1.
