Soccer Recap: San Gabriel Mission Comes Up Short

San Gabriel Mission was the 4-0 winner over Pomona Catholic when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The San Gabriel Mission Pioneers came up short against the Pomona Catholic Pacers on Thursday, falling 7-0.

San Gabriel Mission dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pomona Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3-1.

San Gabriel Mission will be playing at home against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pomona Catholic, they will head out to take on St. Paul at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pomona Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season.
