It was a good run, but Costa Mesa unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They and the Fountain Valley Barons finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 draw. The result kept the Mustangs happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 7th.

Costa Mesa's draw makes their record 6-2-1 this season. Meanwhile, Fountain Valley's record is now 6-0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Costa Mesa will take on Kennedy in a tournament on Saturday. Fountain Valley will take on Katella in a holiday battle at at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fountain Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
