Baseball Recap: Cony's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Cony extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 11-2. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Winslow Black Raiders a 20-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

As for Winslow, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Winslow's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Bulger, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cony will head out to take on Nokomis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winslow, they will face off against Belfast at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
