Softball Recap: Carl Junction Wins Going Away Against Monett

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carl Junction). They put the hurt on the Monett Cubs with a sharp 21-5 victory on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Carl Junction and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Monett, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Carl Junction is taking a road trip to challenge Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monett, they will host Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
