Football Recap: Gabe Bergstrom Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity

There's no place like home for B O L D, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity Bulldogs 18-16.

B O L D got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabe Bergstrom out in front who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 85 rushing yards gave Bergstrom a new career-high. Owen Baumgartner also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

B O L D didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Baumgartner and Tyce Weigel.

The win got B O L D back to even at 1-1. As for Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. B O L D will square off against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, they will welcome St. James at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
