Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. Ygnacio Valley

The Concord Bears will face off against the Ygnacio Valley Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Concord is headed into Thursday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since December 12. Neither they nor Pittsburg could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ygnacio Valley's offense. They lost 6-0 to Athenian on Tuesday. Ygnacio Valley have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ygnacio Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1. Concord's draw makes their record 4-7-4 this season.

Concord got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January against Ygnacio Valley by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
