Basketball Recap: Montgomery Starts off Right with Win over Vincent Memorial + How To Watch

Montgomery took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Vincent Memorial Scots 62-23. With the Aztecs ahead 41-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Montgomery's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dati Sanchez led the charge by going 8-for-12 en route to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Sanchez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paula Zumstein, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Montgomery smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Montgomery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-25 victory against Oceanside on the 22nd. As for Vincent Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, an 86-8 defeat against Mater Dei Catholic on the 19th.
