Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Notre Dame

Notre Dame hadn't done well against Aquinas recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Notre Dame Titans narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Aquinas Falcons 31-29. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while the Falcons are ranked 935th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Aquinas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rachelle LoBianco posted 15 points.

Notre Dame pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15.8 points. As for Aquinas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Notre Dame will venture away from home to square off against Carter on January 14th. As for Aquinas, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Woodcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
