Football Preview: Hart Hawks vs. West Ranch Wildcats
The Hart Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the West Ranch Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hart knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully West Ranch likes a good challenge.

Matix Frithsmith was his usual excellent self, rushing for 131 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards. He has become a key player for Hart: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Bailey Hill, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Hart's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Golden Valley's QB won't forget Josh Whitson anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Whitson has been hot recently, having posted 1.5 or more sacks the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, West Ranch fell victim to Valencia and their airtight defense last Friday. They were beaten by the Vikings 48-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.
West Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hart, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Hart took their win against West Ranch when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 48-27 score.
