Our Lady of the Sacred Heart extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Avonworth. They snuck past the Avonworth Antelopes with a 50-44 victory. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 49-30 win the Antelopes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points over those games. As for Avonworth, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and Avonworth are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart will take on Greensburg Central Catholic on Saturday. Greensburg Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Our Lady of the Sacred Heart likes a good challenge. As for Avonworth, they will welcome Quaker Valley on Friday.
