Basketball Recap: Jeannette Comes Up Short

Jeannette lost against Frazier back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Jeannette Jayhawks took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frazier Commodores.

Malana Burton was the offensive standout of the match as she posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Clea Bozek, who scored 11 points.

Jeannette now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Frazier, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Jeannette has already played their next contest (against Ligonier Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Frazier will square off against Riverview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverview will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Frazier surely won't give up without a fight.
