Baseball Recap: Roscommon Comes Up Short

Roscommon had lost seven straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 3-17 to make it eight. They lost 6-0 to the McBain Ramblers. The Bucks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Roscommon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Marsh, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for McBain, their win bumped their record up to 16-14. The result was nothing new for the Ramblers, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

On McBain's side, the team relied heavily on Braydn Winkel, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The Ramblers are undefeated when Winkel posts two or more stolen bases, but 13-14 otherwise. Colton Haverkamp was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

While Roscommon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
