Eaglecrest came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Smoky Hill Buffaloes, posting a 48-7 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Raptors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 76th).

The critical scores for Eaglecrest came from Sam Johnson, Cameron Bell, and Braydon Turner.

Eaglecrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Bradley and Turner. Eaglecrest received some extra help from Johnson, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Eaglecrest's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Smoky Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
