Softball Recap: Central Lee Drops Highest Score of Season Against New London

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Lee). They blew past the New London Tigers 17-4 on Thursday. Considering the Hawks have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Central Lee pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for New London, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-17.

Central Lee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-4 win against Winfield-Mt. Union on the 26th. Hopefully New London paid attention to the Hawks' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
