Lakeview Charter pushed their score to nine the last time they played Valley Oaks CES, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. The Lakeview Charter Lions walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Vanguards recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Daizy Quinonez and Yoselin Gomez scored both of Lakeview Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Lakeview Charter's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six games. As for Valley Oaks CES, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lakeview Charter duke it out with the Triumph Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Triumph Charter knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Lakeview Charter likes a good challenge. Valley Oaks CES does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
