Basketball Recap: Francis Parker Finds Playoff Glory Versus Rancho Bernardo

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Francis Parker had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Rancho Bernardo Broncos with points to spare, taking the game 38-24. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Broncos are ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Francis Parker found their leader in freshman Isabella Riddle, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Riddle also brought in his first three-point shooting accuracy of the season.

Despite the loss, Rancho Bernardo still got an impressive performance from Keira Tokushige, who posted ten points.

Francis Parker has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Rancho Bernardo and nudges their season record down to 22-7.
