Soccer Game Preview: Foshay vs. Port of Los Angeles

The Foshay Wolverines will head out to take on the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Foshay will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Harbor Teacher, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Foshay never let Harbor Teacher onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The Wolverines wouldn't have won without Arielle Contreras, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Port of Los Angeles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Stella High Charter Academy 1-0.

Foshay has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-2 record this season. As for Port of Los Angeles, their win bumped their record up to 8-11-1.

Foshay beat Port of Los Angeles 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Foshay repeat their success, or does Port of Los Angeles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
