Soccer Game Preview: Swett vs. Healdsburg

The Swett Warriors will challenge the Healdsburg Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Swett has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Healdsburg will arrive with seven straight victories.

Swett fell victim to Tennyson and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lancers, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Healdsburg kept a clean sheet against Cloverdale on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 4-0 win. June Sullivan was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Healdsburg pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matchups. As for Swett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Swett's way against Healdsburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, as Swett made off with a 4-1 win. In that game, Swett amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
