Recap: Jefferson Jaguars vs. St. Thomas Academy Cadets
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Jefferson Jaguars, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against St. Thomas Academy on Friday, falling 43-14. Jefferson's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
St. Thomas Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savion Hart, who rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Hart hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Dobbs, who picked up 188 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for St. Thomas Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Thomas Academy will square off against Owatonna at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Owatonna is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
