Baseball Recap: Wolcott RVT Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Wolcott RVT had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They never let the Bullard-Havens Tigers get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Hunter Aeschlimann tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, AJ Tartaglino was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Brody Nadeau was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs.
