Football Recap: Huss Falls Short of Erwin in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Huss can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Erwin Warriors and fell 49-21. The Huskies' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Huss lost on Friday, don't look at Ethan Presley. Despite the final result, he threw for 355 yards and two touchdowns.

Caden Ingle had an outrageously good game for Erwin as he threw for 408 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 53 yards and two scores. Ingle's passing game has become a key predictor of the Warriors' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-7 otherwise. Jah'Baree Tolbert was in the mix as well, providing Erwin with two touchdowns.

Huss now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Erwin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Huss does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Erwin, they will head out to square off against South Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them.
