Softball Game Preview: Knoxville Panthers vs. Creston Panthers

Thursday just wasn't the day for Knoxville's offense. They fell 3-0 to Oskaloosa on Thursday. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Indians since on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Creston came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 5-0 shutout.

Creston pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Knoxville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-18.
