Preview: Kennedy Cougars vs. Grant Pacers
Kennedy is 0-8 against Grant since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kennedy Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Grant Pacers at 7:00 p.m. Kennedy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
The matchup between Kennedy and McClatchy on Friday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. Kennedy received a tough blow as they fell 69-52 to McClatchy. While losing is never fun, Kennedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while McClatchy is ranked 57th).
Meanwhile, Grant waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Wood 61-45.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Grant, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Kennedy couldn't quite finish off Grant in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 50-47. Can Kennedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
