Softball Recap: Dougherty Comes Up Short on the Road Against Terrell Academy

Dougherty had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 21-2 to the Terrell Academy Eagles on Saturday.

Dariona Simmons was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs.

The victory got Terrell Academy back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Dougherty will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Atkinson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Terrell Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Citizens Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
