Soccer Game Preview: Homestead vs. Los Gatos

The Homestead Mustangs will take on the Los Gatos Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Homestead's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Homestead's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Woodside, sneaking past 1-0. The Mustangs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Los Gatos hasn't lost a match since December 16, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Mountain View finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw.

Darcy Armstrong and Ale Munneke scored all three of Los Gatos' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Homestead's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matches. Los Gatos' draw makes their record 10-2-6 this season.
