The South Philadelphia Rams took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They took down First Philadelphia Prep 32-14.
South Philadelphia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Halimah Blackwell, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was India Brooks, who scored eight points.
South Philadelphia's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for First Philadelphia Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Philadelphia will be home for the holidays to greet Paul Robeson at 3:15 p.m. on December 20th. First Philadelphia Prep will take on Sayre at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
