Basketball Game Preview: Petaluma Trojans vs. Terra Linda Trojans

The Petaluma Trojans will square off against the Terra Linda Trojans at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Petaluma is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Justin-Siena on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Petaluma had to suffer through a 69-21 loss at the hands of Justin-Siena. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.

Meanwhile, Terra Linda took a blow against Redwood on Friday, falling 85-25. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 895th, while the Giants are ranked 120th).

Petaluma's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Terra Linda, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Petaluma couldn't quite finish off Terra Linda when the teams last played back in December of 2018 and fell 43-41. Thankfully for Petaluma, Kristina Poliseri (who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
