Baseball Recap: Clinton Cardinals vs. Pleasant Hill Roosters
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Clinton and Pleasant Hill have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Roosters by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roosters this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 back in March.
Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Pleasant Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-15.
Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant Hill, they will face off against Harrisonville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Roosters' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
