Soccer Game Preview: Wheeling vs. Prospect

The Wheeling Wildcats will head out to challenge the Prospect Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeling will be strutting in after a victory while Prospect will be coming in after a defeat.

Wheeling is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Buffalo Grove on Thursday as they made off with a 4-1 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Wheeling hit Buffalo Grove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christopher Conejo (2), Tomas Aviles, and Andy Cherestal.

Meanwhile, Prospect didn't have quite enough to beat Hoffman Estates on Thursday and fell 2-1. One thing that didn't help Prospect's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Rique Huezo.

The victory snapped Wheeling's losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 2-6-2 record. As for Prospect, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1-3 and their overall record down to 6-2-4.
