West and Independence are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cowboys will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the 76ers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 16-5 to Eastmoor Academy on Wednesday. The Cowboys have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Independence and Briggs meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The 76ers came up short against the Bruins, falling 19-1.

West suffered a grim 17-5 defeat to Independence when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Cowboys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
