Basketball Recap: Canon-Mcmillan Piles Up the Points Against Montour

Canon-McMillan won the last time they faced Montour and things went their way on Monday too. The Canon-McMillan Big Macs took their matchup with ease, bagging a 54-22 win over the Montour Spartans. Given the Big Macs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Spartans are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canon-McMillan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samantha Miller, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points. Miller continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Borella, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

Canon-McMillan has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Montour, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
