Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Panthers vs. Evans Knights

Lakeside hasn't had much luck against Evans recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lakeside Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Evans Knights at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Lakeside 3.6, Evans 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Lakeside is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Evans.

Will Colvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Evans, bringing their record for this year to 5-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
