Los Alamitos came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 41-31 victory over the Marina Vikings. Given the Griffins' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Vikings are ranked 324th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Marina still got an impressive performance from Rylee Bradley, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. That was a full 58.1% of the Vikings' points, marking the seventh time in a row Bradley has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Los Alamitos' win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Marina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Los Alamitos has already played their next game, a 47-44 victory against Fountain Valley on the 13th. As for Marina, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-42 win against Newport Harbor on the 13th.
