Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bernalillo). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Kirtland Central Broncos 42-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Bernalillo was led to victory by Ulisses Castro and Mario Molinar. Castro rushed for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, while Molinar rushed for 50 yards and two scores. An impressive showing, but Molinar really ramped things up playing D: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 14 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Bernalillo didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Kirtland Central to a completion percentage of just 25%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Brandon Coriz, Joseph Duran, and RJ Fleets, who each logged one passes deflected. Bernalillo wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 44.4%.
