Basketball Recap: Escondido Charter's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Escondido Charter had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Valhalla Norsemen 83-34. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 25 points or more this season.

The win (which was Escondido Charter's ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Escondido Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Hoover likes a good challenge. Valhalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
