Softball Recap: Deerfield-Windsor Takes a Loss

Deerfield-Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flint River Academy Wildcats.

Emily Phillips made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Claire Hockman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Deerfield-Windsor now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Flint River Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

While Deerfield-Windsor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
