Baseball Game Preview: Harris County Tigers vs. Northside Patriots

For the second straight game, Harris County will face off against Northside. The Tigers will welcome the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harris County is on a four-game streak of home wins, Northside a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Harris County and Northside had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Patriots on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Patriots on their field since March 16, 2023.

Jacob Eber looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Harris County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daejeon Elder, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Harris County's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-6.
