Soccer Recap: Rutland Takes a Loss

Rutland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Pike County Pirates, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Pirates are ranked 164th).

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pike County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Rutland has already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against Callaway on the 10th. As for Pike County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Westside on the 7th.
