Basketball Game Preview: Auburn Bulldogs vs. Elmwood-Murdock Knights

The Auburn Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Elmwood-Murdock Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

Auburn is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games dating back to last season on Friday. They had to suffer through a 67-21 loss at the hands of Malcolm. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-9.

Addie Darnell was Auburn's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Darnell also led the team in assists with three.

Meanwhile, Elmwood-Murdock beat Louisville 41-33 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won eight in a row.

Elmwood-Murdock now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Auburn ended up a good deal behind Elmwood-Murdock when the teams last played back in February, losing 42-24. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
